يَاللهُ بِالْمُصْطَفَى الصِّنْدِيدِ يَالله وَبِخَلِيلِكَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ يَاللهُ

yaāllhu biālmuṣṭafaā ālṣṣindiydi yaāllh wabikhaliylika ʾībraāhiyma yaāllhu

O Allah! I beseech You by the Chosen One, the noble and generous, and by Your friend Abraham, O Allah!

وَبِكَلِيمِكَ مُوسَى صَالِحٍ خَضَرٍ وَبِشُعَيْبٍ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ يَاللهُ

wabikaliymika muwsaā ṣaāliḥin khaḍarin wabishuʿaybin waʾīsmaāʿiyla yaāllhu

By Your interlocutor Moses, by Salih, Al-Khidr, Shu‘ayb and Ishmael, O Allah!

وَبِسُلَيْمَانَ نُوحٍ يُونُسٍ إِلْيَسَعٍ وَزَكِرْيَاءَ يَحْيَى هُودَ يَاللهُ

wabisulaymaāna nuwḥin yuwnusin ʾīlyasaʿin wazakiryaāʾa yaḥyaā huwda yaāllhu

By Solomon, Noah, Jonah, Al-Yasa‘, Zechariah, John and Hud, O Allah!

هَارُونَ يُوشَعَ إِلْيَاسٍ وَآدَمَ دَا وُودَ وَذِي الْكِفْلِ عِيسَى لُوطَ يَالله

haāruwna yuwshaʿa ʾīlyaāsin waʾādama daā wuwda wadhiy ālkifli ʿiysaā luwṭa yaāllh

By Aaron, Joshua, Elijah, Adam, David, Dhul-Kifl, Jesus and Lot, O Allah!

وَيُوسُفٍ وَبِإِسْحَاقٍ وَغَيْرِهِم مِنْ أَنْبِيَاءٍ وَرُسْلٍ لَكَ يَاللهُ

wayuwsufin wabiʾīsḥaāqin waghayrihim min ʾānbiyaāʾin waruslin laka yaāllhu

By Joseph, Isaac and the other prophets and messengers who belong to You, O Allah!

وَبِالْمَلاَئِكِ طُرًّا ثُمَّ صَفْوَتِهِمْ جِبْرِيلَ ثُمَّ بِمِيكَائِيلَ يَاللهُ

wabiālmalāaʾīki ṭurranā thumma ṣafwatihim jibriyla thumma bimiykaāʾīyla yaāllhu

By all the angels, and then by their chosen ones, Gabriel and Michael, O Allah!

وَصَاحِبِ النَّفْخِ إِسْرَافِيلَ قَابِضِ أَرْ وَاحِ الْخَلاَئِقِ عَزْرَائِيلَ يَالله

waṣaāḥibi ālnnafkhi ʾīsraāfiyla qaābiḍi ʾār waāḥi ālkhalāaʾīqi ʿazraāʾīyla yaāllh

By Israfil, entrusted with blowing the Trumpet, and by the angel entrusted with taking the souls of creatures, O Allah!

وَبِالصَّحَابَةِ ثُمَّ اْلأَوْلِيَاءِ مَعًا وَالْعَامِلِينَ مِنَ اْلأَحْبَارِ يَاللهُ

wabiālṣṣaḥaābāi thumma ālʾāwliyaāʾi maʿanā waālʿaāmiliyna mina ālʾāḥbaāri yaāllhu

By the Companions, then the saints, and the scholars who put their knowledge into practice, O Allah!

وَبِالصِّدِيقِ وَبِالْفَارُوقِ ثُمَّ بِذِي النُّورَيْنِ ثُمَّ أَبِي السِّبْطَيْنِ يَاللهُ

wabiālṣṣidiyqi wabiālfaāruwqi thumma bidhiy ālnnuwrayni thumma ʾābiy ālssibṭayni yaāllhu

By Abu Bakr the Truthful, ‘Umar the Discerner, ‘Uthman the possessor of the two lights, and ‘Ali, father of the Prophet’s two grandsons, O Allah!

بِمَالِكٍ ذِي الْمَزَايَا الشَّافِعِيِّ أَبِي حَنِيفَةٍ أَحْمَدَ الْمَحْمُودِ يَاللهُ

bimaālikin dhiy ālmazaāyaā ālshshaāfiʿiyyi ʾābiy ḥaniyfāin ʾāḥmada ālmaḥmuwdi yaāllhu

By Malik of noble qualities, by Ash-Shafi‘i, Abu Hanifa and the praiseworthy Ahmad, O Allah!

بِاللَّوْحِ وَالْقَلَمِ الْمَحْفُوظِ ثُمَّ بِعَرْ شِكَ الْعَظِيمِ وَبِالْكُرْسِيِّ يَالله

biālllawḥi waālqalami ālmaḥfuwẓi thumma biʿar shika ālʿaẓiymi wabiālkursiyyi yaāllh

By the Preserved Tablet, the Pen, Your immense Throne and the Kursi, O Allah!

وَبِالْقُرْانِ وَبالتَّوْرِيةِ ثُمَّ بِمَا دَاوُودَ جَاءَ بِهِ وَالرُّوحِ يَاللهُ

wabiālqurāni wabālttawriyai thumma bimaā daāwuwda jaāʾa bihi waālrruwḥi yaāllhu

By the Qur’an, the Torah, what was given to David, and the Gospel brought by the Spirit, O Allah!

بَلِغْ صَلاَتِي وَتَسْلِيمِي عَلَيْهِ لَهُ وَاْلآلِ وَالصَّحْبِ وَاْلأَزْوَاجِ يَاللهُ

baligh ṣalāatiy watasliymiy ʿalayhi lahu waālʾāli waālṣṣaḥbi waālʾāzwaāji yaāllhu

Convey my prayers and peace to the Prophet, his family, Companions and wives, O Allah!

وَأَسْبِلَنَّ عَلَيْنَا رَبِّ عَافِيَةً وَهَبْ لَنَا الْقَصْدَ فِي الدَّارَيْنِ يَاللهُ

waʾāsbilanna ʿalaynaā rabbi ʿaāfiyāan wahab lanaā ālqaṣda fiy ālddaārayni yaāllhu

Lord, cover us with well-being and grant us what we seek in both abodes, O Allah!

وَافْتَحْ لَنَا كُلَّ بَابٍ كُنْتَ فَاتِحَهُ لِلصَّالِحِينَ مِنَ الْخَيْرَاتِ يَاللهُ

waāftaḥ lanaā kulla baābin kunta faātiḥahu lilṣṣaāliḥiyna mina ālkhayraāti yaāllhu

Open for us every gate of goodness that You opened for the righteous, O Allah!

وَاسْلُكْ بِنَا نَهْجَ رُشْدٍ وَاكْفِنَا زَلَلاً وَاطْرُدْ لَنَا الْجِنَّ وَالشَّيْطَانَ يَالله

waāsluk binaā nahja rushdin waākfinaā zalalāan waāṭrud lanaā āljinna waālshshayṭaāna yaāllh

Lead us on the path of guidance, protect us from error, and drive the jinn and Satan away from us, O Allah!

وَكَمِّلَنْ كُلَّمَا نَنْحُو وَنَقْصِدُهُ وَهَبْ لَنَا كُلَّمَا نَخْتَارُ يَالله

wakammilan kullamaā nanḥuw wanaqṣiduhu wahab lanaā kullamaā nakhtaāru yaāllh

Bring to completion all that we strive for and grant us the good that we choose, O Allah!

وَرُضْ لَنَا كُلَّ ذِي صَعْبٍ وَذِي حَرَنٍ وَيَسِّرَنْ كُلَّ ذِي التَّعْسِيرِ يَاللهُ

waruḍ lanaā kulla dhiy ṣaʿbin wadhiy ḥaranin wayassiran kulla dhiy ālttaʿsiyri yaāllhu

Make every hardship manageable for us and ease every difficult matter, O Allah!

طَوِلْ لَنَا عُمْرَنَا صَحِحْ لَنَا بَدَنًا وَهَبْ لَنَا الرُّشْدَ وَالتَّوْفِيقَ يَاللهُ

ṭawil lanaā ʿumranaā ṣaḥiḥ lanaā badananā wahab lanaā ālrrushda waālttawfiyqa yaāllhu

Prolong our lives, strengthen our bodies, and grant us guidance and success, O Allah!

وَدَمِّرَنْ كُلَّ أَعْدَاءٍ تُضِرُّ بِنَا قَبْلَ الْوُصُولِ لَنَا يَاللهُ يَاللهُ

wadammiran kulla ʾāʿdaāʾin tuḍirru binaā qabla ālwuṣuwli lanaā yaāllhu yaāllhu

Destroy every enemy who intends to harm us before reaching us, O Allah, O Allah!

وَكُنْ لَنَا عَاصِمًا مِنْ كُلِّ مَهْلَكَةٍ وَنَجِّنَا مِنْ بَلاَيَا الدَّهْرَ يَاللهُ

wakun lanaā ʿaāṣimanā min kulli mahlakāin wanajjinaā min balāayaā ālddahra yaāllhu

Be our protector from every ruin and save us from the calamities of time, O Allah!

وَآفَةٍ عَاهَةٍ مَعَ غُصَّةٍ مِحَنٍ زَلْزَلَةٍ شِدَّةٍ وَالْفَقْرِ يَاللهُ

waʾāfāin ʿaāhāin maʿa ghuṣṣāin miḥanin zalzalāin shiddāin waālfaqri yaāllhu

Protect us from afflictions, disabilities, anguish, trials, severe earthquakes and poverty, O Allah!

إِهَانَةٍ قِلَّةٍ مَعْ ذِلَّةٍ غَلَبٍ وَفَاقَةٍ عَطَشٍ وَالْجُوعٍ يَالله

ʾīhaānāin qillāin maʿ dhillāin ghalabin wafaāqāin ʿaṭashin waāljuwʿin yaāllh

Protect us from humiliation, scarcity, abasement, domination, need, thirst and hunger, O Allah!

وَفِتْنَةٍ وَالْوَبَا وَالْحَرْقِ مَعْ غَرَقٍ وَالْبَرْقِ مَعْ سَرَقٍ وَالْكَدِّ يَاللهُ

wafitnāin waālwabaā waālḥarqi maʿ gharaqin waālbarqi maʿ saraqin waālkaddi yaāllhu

Protect us from trials, epidemics, fire, drowning, lightning, theft and hardship, O Allah!

حَرٍّ وَبَرْدٍ وَنَهْبٍ كُرْبَةٍ نِقَمٍ ضَلاَلَةٍ عَرَجٍ وَالْغَمِّ يَاللهُ

ḥarrin wabardin wanahbin kurbāin niqamin ḍalāalāin ʿarajin waālghammi yaāllhu

Protect us from heat, cold, plunder, distress, calamities, misguidance, disability and grief, O Allah!

وَهَامَّةٍ وَخَطَايَا ضَالَّةٍ زَلَلٍ وَالْمَسْخِ وَالْخَسْفِ ثُمَّ الْقَذْفِ يَاللهُ

wahaāmmāin wakhaṭaāyaā ḍaāllāin zalalin waālmaskhi waālkhasfi thumma ālqadhfi yaāllhu

Protect us from harmful creatures, sins, straying, stumbling, disfigurement, sinking and violent punishment, O Allah!

وَغُلَّةٍ مَعْ جُنُونٍ عِلَّةٍ مَرَضٍ ثُمَّ الْجُذَامَيْنِ وَالنُّقْصَانِ يَالله

waghullāin maʿ junuwnin ʿillāin maraḍin thumma āljudhaāmayni waālnnuqṣaāni yaāllh

Protect us from deprivation, madness, ailments, disease, leprosy and every deficiency, O Allah!

وَمِنْ قَبِيحَةِ دُنْيًا ثُمَّ آخِرَةٍ وَمِنْ فُضُوحِهِمَا يَاللهُ يَاللهُ

wamin qabiyḥāi dunyanā thumma ʾākhirāin wamin fuḍuwḥihimaā yaāllhu yaāllhu

Protect us from every ugliness of this world and the Hereafter and from their humiliations, O Allah, O Allah!

يَا مَنْ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَادِرٌ وَعَلَى الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ اسْتَوَى بِالْقَهْرِ يَاللهُ

yaā man ʿalaā kulli shayʾin qaādirun waʿalaā ālʿarshi ālʿaẓiymi āstawaā biālqahri yaāllhu

O You who are able to do all things and who rule over the immense Throne by Your power, O Allah!

إِنِّي سَأَلْتُكَ قَلْبًا خَاشِعًا مُتَوَا ضِعًا وَعِلْمًا كَثِيرَ النَّفْعِ يَالله

ʾīnniy saʾāltuka qalbanā khaāshiʿanā mutawaā ḍiʿanā waʿilmanā kathiyra ālnnafʿi yaāllh

I ask You for a reverent and humble heart and for abundant, beneficial knowledge, O Allah!

وَتَوْبَةً قُبِلَتْ مَعْ مِكْنَةٍ رُفِعَتْ مَعْ زَوْجَةٍ صَلُحَتْ بِالدِّينِ يَاللهُ

watawbāan qubilat maʿ miknāin rufiʿat maʿ zawjāin ṣaluḥat biālddiyni yaāllhu

Grant me accepted repentance, an elevated station, and a righteous wife in religion, O Allah!

وَكُنْ مُعِيذًا لَنَا مِنْ شَرِّ ذِي حَسَدٍ مَعْ شَرِّ فَمٍّ وَشَرِّ الْعَيْنِ يَالله

wakun muʿiydhanā lanaā min sharri dhiy ḥasadin maʿ sharri fammin washarri ālʿayni yaāllh

Protect us from the evil of the envious, from harmful speech and from the evil eye, O Allah!

وَشَرِّ سِحْرٍ وَشَرِّ الْخَلْقِ إِنْسِهِمُ مَعْ جِنِّهِمْ وَذَوَاتِ السُّمِّ يَاللهُ

washarri siḥrin washarri ālkhalqi ʾīnsihimu maʿ jinnihim wadhawaāti ālssummi yaāllhu

Protect us from sorcery, from the evil of creatures—human and jinn—and from venomous beings, O Allah!

إِنِّي جَعَلْتُكَ فِي الدَّارَيْنِ يَا ثِقَتِي حِصْنًا حَصِينًا فَكُنْ مَلْجَايَ يَاللهُ

ʾīnniy jaʿaltuka fiy ālddaārayni yaā thiqatiy ḥiṣnanā ḥaṣiynanā fakun maljaāya yaāllhu

In this world and the next I have taken You as my trust and impregnable fortress; be my refuge, O Allah!

فَلاَ تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي فَأَهْلِكَ كُنْ مُجِيبَنِي حَيْثُمَا أَدْعُوكَ يَالله

falāa takilniy ʾīlaā nafsiy faʾāhlika kun mujiybaniy ḥaythumaā ʾādʿuwka yaāllh

Do not leave me to my own soul lest I perish; answer me whenever I call upon You, O Allah!

وَاجْعَلْ لِسَانِي وَقَلْبِي ذَاكِرَيْكَ مَعًا عِنْدَ الْمَمَاتِ مَعَ اْلإِيمَانِ يَاللهُ

waājʿal lisaāniy waqalbiy dhaākirayka maʿanā ʿinda ālmamaāti maʿa ālʾīymaāni yaāllhu

Make my tongue and heart remember You together, and grant me faith at the moment of death, O Allah!

ثَبِّتْ يَقِينِيَ فِي قَلْبِي بِلاَ وَجَلٍ حَتَّى أُحِبَّ لِقَاكَ الْحَقَّ يَاللهُ

thabbit yaqiyniya fiy qalbiy bilāa wajalin ḥattaā ʾauḥibba liqaāka ālḥaqqa yaāllhu

Make certainty firm in my heart without fear until I truly love meeting You, O Allah!

وَلِي اجْعَلِ الْمَوْتَ رَاحَاتٍ وَمَفْرَحَةً مِنْ كُلِّ شَرٍّ وَكَرْبٍ ضَاقَ يَاللهُ

waliy ājʿali ālmawta raāḥaātin wamafraḥāan min kulli sharrin wakarbin ḍaāqa yaāllhu

Make death for me a rest and a joy, and a deliverance from every evil and distress, O Allah!

وَاحْفَظْ لِيَ الْجِسْمَ حَيْثُ الرُّوحُ فَارَقَنِي فِي الْقَبْرِ لاَ تُبْلِيَنْهُ الدَّهْرَ يَاللهُ

waāḥfaẓ liya āljisma ḥaythu ālrruwḥu faāraqaniy fiy ālqabri lāa tubliyanhu ālddahra yaāllhu

Preserve my body when my soul departs; do not let it decay in the grave with the passing of time, O Allah!

وَكُنْ نَصِيرِي أَنِيسِي حِينَمَا دَفَنُوا جِسْمِي فَصِرْتُ وَحِيدًا ثَمَّ يَاللهُ

wakun naṣiyriy ʾāniysiy ḥiynamaā dafanuwā jismiy faṣirtu waḥiydanā thamma yaāllhu

Be my helper and companion when my body is buried and I am left alone, O Allah!

لاَ تَضْمُمَنَّ مَعِي مَا قَدْ يُرَوِّعُنِي بَلِ اكْفِيَنْ كُلَّمَا أَخْشَاهُ يَاللهُ

lāa taḍmumanna maʿiy maā qad yurawwiʿuniy bali ākfiyan kullamaā ʾākhshaāhu yaāllhu

Do not place with me anything that terrifies me; protect me from all that I fear, O Allah!

وَنَجِّنِي وَجَمِيعَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مَعًا وَنَجِّ وَالِدَتِي آمِينَ يَالله

wanajjiniy wajamiyʿa ālmuslimiyna maʿanā wanajji waālidatiy ʾāmiyna yaāllh

Save me, my mother and all Muslims together; save my mother—amen—O Allah!

وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلَهَا وَاسْتُرْ مَعَائِبَنَا وَالْطُفْ بِنَا وَبِهَا فِي الْهَوْلِ يَاللهُ

waāghfir lanaā walahaā waāstur maʿaāʾībanaā waālṭuf binaā wabihaā fiy ālhawli yaāllhu

Forgive us and her, conceal our faults, and treat us and her gently amid the terrors, O Allah!

عَنْهَا تَجَاوَزْ وَإِيَّانَا ارْحَمَنَّ فَمَا لَنَا سِوَاكَ وَأَنْتَ الْبَرُّ يَاللهُ

ʿanhaā tajaāwaz waʾīyyaānaā ārḥamanna famaā lanaā siwaāka waʾānta ālbarru yaāllhu

Overlook her faults and have mercy on her and on us; we have none but You, and You are the Beneficent, O Allah!

فِي بَرْزخَ مَعَ قَبْرٍ كُنْ لَهَا وَزَرًا وَمِنْ كُرُوبٍ وَخَوْفٍ نَجِّ يَاللهُ

fiy barzkha maʿa qabrin kun lahaā wazaranā wamin kuruwbin wakhawfin najji yaāllhu

In the Barzakh and in the grave, be her refuge and save her from anguish and fear, O Allah!

لاَ تَخْتَبِرْهَا بِمَا لَيْسَتْ بِقَادِرَةٍ وَلاَ تُخَيِّبْ رَجَاهَا فِيكَ يَاللهُ

lāa takhtabirhaā bimaā laysat biqaādirāin walāa tukhayyib rajaāhaā fiyka yaāllhu

Do not test her with what she cannot bear, and do not disappoint her hope in You, O Allah!

وَأسْقِنَا مَعَهَا مِنْ مَاءِ كَوْثَرٍ مَنْ اِخْتَرْتَهُ مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْخَلْقِ يَالله

waʾasqinaā maʿahaā min maāʾi kawtharin man āikhtartahu min jamiyʿi ālkhalqi yaāllh

Give us and her drink from the water of Kawthar reserved for the one You chose above all creation, O Allah!

مَنْ كَانَ يُرْشِدُ ذَا غَيٍّ وَيُهْلِكُ ذَا كُفْرٍ وَيَنْصُرُ مَنْ يَخْشَاكَ يَالله

man kaāna yurshidu dhaā ghayyin wayuhliku dhaā kufrin wayanṣuru man yakhshaāka yaāllh

The one who guided the astray, opposed disbelief, and helped the one who fears You, O Allah!

مُحَمَّدٍ مَذْكَإِ اْلأَخْيَارِ قَائِدِنَا لِجَنَّةِ الْخُلْدِ يَوْمَ الْحَشْرِ يَاللهُ

muḥammadin madhkaʾī ālʾākhyaāri qaāʾīdinaā lijannāi ālkhuldi yawma ālḥashri yaāllhu

Muhammad, the flower of the chosen ones, our guide to everlasting Paradise on the Day of Gathering, O Allah!

عَلَيْهِ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ دَائِمًا أَبَدًا وَمَنْ فَقَوْهُ لِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ يَاللهُ

ʿalayhi ṣalli wasallim daāʾīmanā ʾābadanā waman faqawhu liyawmi ālddiyni yaāllhu

Bestow Your prayer and peace upon him forever and always, and upon all who follow him until the Day of Judgment, O Allah!
